Foods That Will Keep Your Heart In Good Shape

To maintain good health, your heart must be in good condition.

Your heart is the most hardworking organ in your body. It beats relentlessly

70 times in one minute, pumping enough blood to fill an average car’s petrol

tank 8 times per hour.

The heart works even while you are sleeping and it’s work rate double when

you are awake.

For your heart to work properly and be in good shape you need to exercise

properly and also needs vitamins B, C and E as well as dolomite that will

strengthen the heart.

You also need to keep the veins and arteries of the circulatory system strong

and supple as well as keeping the blood pure.

Researchers agreed that eating sweet potatoes could add years to your life.

Sweet potatoes that are a deeper in colour are richer in beta-carotene.

One sweet potato could delivers 541 mg. of potassium, an essential mineral

that can lower even hard to treat high blood pressure also it keeps brain

levels of sodium under control, Two things that work to lower your risk of

stroke.

Study had shown that eating sweet potatoes could lower your artery clogging

LDL cholesterol levels by 29 % within a month, which is virtually identical

to prescription cholesterol lowering drugs that you have to expensively

purchase.

Sweet potatoes contain 25% more powerful heart protecting nutrients than any

other tuber crop. Eating just one or two per week could slash your risk of

ever having a heart attack by 86%, say the experts.

Bananas have a natural antacid effect on the body, if you suffer from

heartburn, eat banana and pure honey for soothing relief.

This tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it

a perfect food to lower high blood pressure. This has made the US Food and

Drug Administration to allow the banana industry to make official claims for

the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.

Potassium is one of the vital minerals, which our body need to normalize the

heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates body's water balance When

stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels.

This can be balanced by having a bite of a high-potassium banana.

Some Things You Don't Know About Your Cloths

Textile is a piece of woven or knitted fabric.
Fabric is otherwise known as cloth. Our cloth is our fabric.
There are different types of cloths. Ranging from yarns, silk and many more. Each has its own features & uniqueness.
Here, you ll get some info abbout Lace and Nylon fabric.

LACE FABRIC
Lace fabric is an extremely beautiful and delicate fabric that comprises of its own family.
Lace fabric is made from a variety of fibers such as linen, polyester, nylon, rayon, silk, cotton and wool. In spite of the fact that its more fragile than other materials, if handled carefully, lace can be relatively easy to sew. Some of the characteristics of lace fabrics are
1. Lace fabric are usually transparent
2. Most lace fabric have horizontal and vertical designs which must be matched the same way that plaids must be matched
3. Lace fabric can be easily damaged by hot irons and improper pressing
4. You might easily come across fake ones, and they tear easily.

Below are some pictures of lace fabrics.

NYLON FABRIC
Nylon fabric, made of nylon fibre is an oil by-product, also the first and true synthetic fiber. Firstly introduced at the Dupont Research Center in February 1938.
Nylon repels water, it is durable, has easy care, it is naturally elastic and wrinkle resistant.
When put in fire, it melt instead of burning. It often used in bridal wear and, unlike polyester, can be easily dyed. It is one of the most cost effective fabric, making it ideal for any beginning sewer or anyone. What you see today, worn by sports men are mostly made of nylon, because, they are great at wicking away moisture, and any other situation requiring the freedom of movement. Nylon's uses are incredibly vast.
Some of the characteristics of Nylon Fabric are:

1. Resistant to water and heat
2. They can stretch on the bolt, but don’t shrink
3. Can easily be damaged by a hot iron
4. Melts instead of catching fire
5. It is durable and at such used for seatbelts, tire cords, ballistic cloth and others.

Electric Shocks To Brain Will Improve Maths Skills-Scientists

If you electrically shock a person's brain their maths skills will significantly improve during the subsequent 6 months.

If want to improve your Math skills without working hard? Simply zap the brain with a weak current of electricity and voila, all your (math) problems will be solved.

Fact & Analysis:
The messages claim that one can significantly improve their brain activity and maths skills by a simple electric shock of weak current. It is a fact, but has to be strictly done under the guidance of expert doctors.
The process is called Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and involves applying weak electrical currents (low DC current) to a person's head via skalp electrodes. This generates an electromagnetic field that modulates (regulates) the activity of brain neurons. The changes in brain activity depends on the polarity of stimulation, i.e orientation of the electric field to the brain neurons. The positive Anodal (+) stimulation causes a depolarization of the resting membrane potential, thereby increasing the neuronal excitability, which allows for more spontaneous cell firing. When negative Cathodal (-) stimulation is delivered, it causes a hyperpolarization of the resting membrane potential, which decreases the neuron excitability because of decreased spontaneous cell firing.

Numerous studies on tDCS verify that use of low-intensity transcranial stimulation is safe for humans and has only rare and relatively minor adverse effects. tDCS is believed to be more effective when used in conjunction with fMRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or centrally acting drugs. An extensive study on this Cranial Electrotherapy done by a scientific team comprising of US Mind Research found that tDCS guided using fMRI significantly accelerated the learning process of identifying concealed objects. The study found that tDCS applied over right inferior frontal and right parietal cortex parts of the human brain resulted in up to two-fold improvement in learning and performance. The scientists also believe that tDCS guided using neuroimaging can be helpful in reducing the training time for a variety of complex skills.
Another study done by scientists from the University of Oxford has shown that transcranial stimulation can improve a person's math abilities for up to six months. The study consisted of patients who were on TDCS, and they showed an improved ability to order numbers. Presently, tDCS is being investigated for treating variety of other conditions like stroke recovery, depression and migraine.
But importantly, NO scientist advised people to go around, plug into a wall socket and get themselves electric shocks. It could be hazardous. The scientists hope to develop a device that would provide an appropriate amount of electric current to brain, and have even filed a patent on such a device. However, the scientists also mention that such a device will not make a person better at maths instantly, the person also has to put in significant amount of effort.

South African Study 'Opens New Possibilities For Curing HIV'

A group of South African scientists, working with scientists from the US, has discovered how a KwaZulu-Natal woman's body responded to her HIV infection by making potent antibodies -called broadly neutralising antibodies -that could open up new ways of treating and preventing HIV. Details of the discovery of the antibodies -

Details of the discovery of the antibodies -called broadly neutralising antibodies because they are able to kill multiple strains of HIV from across the world -was published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature on Sunday. The study describes how the research team found and identified these antibodies in a KwaZulu-Natal woman's blood and then duplicated them by cloning the antibodies in the laboratory.

The cloned antibodies were then used in a series of experiments to elucidate the pathway followed by the woman's immune system to make these potent antibodies. The study was conducted by South African researchers in the Caprisa (Centre for the Aids Programme of Research in South Africa) consortium, working jointly with US partners based at the Vaccine Research Center of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health, and Columbia University in New York. Caprisa includes scientists from the National Institute for Communicable Diseases in Johannesburg, the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the University of Cape Town.

'Hope for future prevention, treatment strategies'

Professor Salim Abdool Karim, leader of the Caprisa consortium, said in a statement on Sunday that the new insights gained from the study into immune responses against HIV "bring hope for future HIV prevention and treatment strategies", adding that the woman whose antibodies were studied "is doing well on antiretroviral therapy and continues to attend the Caprisa clinic regularly".

Just over a year ago, the same team of South African researchers reported in Nature Medicine (also part of the Nature group of journals) on their discovery relating to two other KwaZulu-Natal women, that a shift in the position of one sugar molecule on the surface of the HIV virus led to the development of broadly neutralising antibodies against HIV. Professor Lynn Morris, who leads the research team at South Africa's National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), commented: "In this new publication we have been able to isolate a broadly neutralising antibody from this Caprisa volunteer and trace its origins to understand exactly how it arose. "This could lead to new HIV vaccine strategies that are able to stimulate the rare precursors of these protective antibodies," Morris said.

Antibodies 'with long arms'

According to Caprisa, all HIV-infected people respond to HIV by making antibodies. While most people's antibodies are not able to kill (neutralise) a wide range of HIV, a few infected people naturally make antibodies that kill many different kinds of HIV, in other words, broadly neutralising antibodies. "Broadly neutralising antibodies have some unusual features," said Dr Penny Moore, one of the lead South African scientists on the study based at the NICD.

"The outer covering (envelope) of HIV has a coating of sugars that prevents antibodies from reaching the surface to neutralise the virus. In this patient, we found that her antibodies had 'long arms', which enabled them to reach through the sugar coat that protects HIV." In their study, the researchers found that these antibodies had "long arms" right at the outset. "We discovered that some HIV antibodies are born with 'long arms', requiring less time and fewer changes to become effective in killing HIV," Moore said.

The identification and successful cloning of these special antibodies has enabled the researchers to make sufficiently large quantities for further testing, similar to the way a medicine used to prevent or treat HIV would be tested. "Our goal is to test these antibodies, preferably in combination with other broadly neutralising antibodies, directly in patients with HIV infection or in patients at or in patients at risk of getting infected," said Karim. "But this will take some time, as the team is currently planning animal studies as a first step.
Broadly neutralising antibodies have previously been shown to be effective in preventing and treating HIV infection in animals, but this has never before been shown in humans." The future studies on animals and humans are being supported by the Strategic Health Innovation Partnerships, a unit of the South African Medical Research Council, with funding from the Department of Science and Technology.

'Importance of international scientific partnerships'

Science and Technology Minister Derek Hanekom said in the Caprisa statement that the study "highlights the importance of international scientific partnerships and the contributions of South African researchers to world-class medical science. We are proud of the South African research team who conducted this ground-breaking study, and thank the US partners for their collaboration and support."

Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, announcing the new findings at a press conference in Johannesburg on Monday, said: "We are a step closer to the day where we eventually have a viable vaccine because of what has been announced the new findings at a press conference in Johannesburg on Monday, said: "We are a step closer to the day where we eventually have a viable vaccine because of what has been announced today.

"This announcement tells us a little more about the HI virus," Motsoaledi said, adding: "These studies illustrate the importance of research and the need for patience and dedication. "In 2009, when we unveiled our 10-point programme, number 10 was research and development, and we were worried that research and development in South Africa was taking long in the past decades. But we are very proud that almost every year something is being announced by our scientists in that direction."

Motsoaledi said his department had more interest in this development than anyone else in the world, as South Africa has the largest burden of HIV infections globally. He thanked those people living with HIV who had willingly participated in the study.

"Your selflessness has been helping the world to better understand the HIV virus so that we can prevent transmission and find the cure." The research was primarily funded by the US National Institutes of Health's Vaccine Research Center and the South African Department of Science and Technology. The South African researchers also have fellowships from the Wellcome Trust, theTrust, the Fogarty International Center, the National Research Foundation and the Poliomyelitis Research Foundation.

5 Reasons You Should Eating More Onions

Onion is a member of the Allium family and is rich in sulphur containing compounds that are responsible for its pungent odor and for many of onion’s health promoting effects.
Some benefits derived from consuming onions are:

1. Cardiovascular Benefits
There is evidence that sulphur compounds found in onion work in an anti clotting capacity and help prevent the unwanted clumping together of blood platelet cells. There is also evidence showing that onion’s sulphur compounds can lower blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides and improve cell membrane function in red blood cells as well. The benefits of onion in the overall dietary context extend to prevention of heart attack. The outstanding flavonoid content of onions supports these research findings.

2. Bone and connective tissue benefits
Human studies have shown that onion can help increase your bone density and may have special benefit on women of menopausal age who are experiencing loss of bone density. Plus, there is evidence that women who have passed the age of menopause may be able to lower their risk of hip fracture through daily eating of onions. In this research on bone density in older women, very rare eating of onion like once a month or less did not provide much benefit. Daily consumption of onion boosts benefits for bone density. So do not skimp on onions when you are incorporating them into your diet plan. The high sulfur content of onions may provide direct benefits to your connective tissue as many of your connective tissue components require sulfur for their formation.

3. Anti inflammatory benefits
This allium vegetable has nevertheless been shown to provide important anti inflammatory response. A unique sulphur molecule found in the bulb portion of the onion has been shown to inhibit the activity of macrophages- specific white blood cells that play a major role in your immune system and one of their defence activities is the triggering of large scale inflammatory responses. Onion’s antioxidants provide you with anti inflammatory sources. These antioxidants help prevent fatty acids oxidation in your body. When you have lower levels of oxidized fatty acids, your body produces fewer inflammatory messaging molecules and your level of inflammation is kept in check.

4. Cancer protection
Onion has been shown to lower the risk of several cancers, even when you consume it in only moderate amounts. Colorectal, laryngeal and ovarian cancers are the types for which risk is reduced along with moderate amounts of dietary onion. Do not err on the side of small onion servings or infrequent onion intake if you want to obtain the full cancer related benefits of this veggie. Try to include at least one whole onion in the recipe. In terms of individual portion sizes when you sit down to eat, try to consume the equivalent of half onion.

Other health benefits
Onions have shown potential for improvement of blood sugar balance, help prevent bacterial infection. Along with sulphur compounds, the flavonoid quercetin found in onion helps provide these antibacterial benefits. Some studies suggest that length of storage for onion that has been chopped but not cooked and duration of heat exposure in this case involving exposure to steam for ten minutes can affect some of onion’s health benefits. For these reasons, special care is needed in the storage, handling and cooking of this vegetable.

Reasons Why Start-up Businesses Fail Too Early

“For entrepreneurs especially those just starting out. They businesses succeed as much as they fail. But Statistics have proven that the failure rate for new startups within the first five years is as high as 50 percent.
Of course, real entrepreneurs treat business failure as a milestone on the road to success. They count on learning from their mistakes, and use the experience to move to the next idea. But why not learn from the mistakes of others, without all the pain and suffering?
Below is my list of 10 top startup failure causes and how to avoid them:

1.No written plan.
Don’t ever believe that a business plan isn’t worth the effort or not necessary. The discipline of writing down a plan is the best way to make sure you actually understand how to transform your idea into a business.

2.Slim or no revenue model.
Even a non-profit has to generate revenue (or donations) to offset operating costs. If your product is free, or you lose money on every sale, it’s hard to make it up in volume. You may have the solution to world hunger, but if your customers have no money, your business won’t last long.

3.Limited business opportunities.
Not every good idea can become a blockbuster business. Just because you passionately believe that your product or service is great, and everyone needs it, doesn’t mean that everyone will buy it. There is no substitute for market research, to supplement your informal poll of friends and family.

4.Can’t execute.
An idea alone is really worth nothing. It’s all about the execution. If you’re not comfortable making hard decisions and taking risks, you won’t do well in that business.

5.Too much competition.
Having no competitors is a red flag, it may mean there’s no market. But finding so many competitors may be a sign that it is also over crowded.

6.No intellectual property.
If you expect to seek investors, or you expect to have a sustainable competitive advantage against giants in your industry, you need to register for patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as enlist non-compete and non-disclosure agreements to protect trade secrets. Intellectual property is also often the largest element of early-stage company valuations for professional investors.

We have the Copyright and Trade mark commission in Abuja and Lagos where you can secure you r patent or ideas with a minimal cost.

7.An inexperienced team.
In reality, investors fund people, not ideas. They look for people with real experience in the business domain of the startup, and people with real experience running a startup. If this is your first time around, find a partner who has “been there and done that” to balance your passion and bring experience to the team.

8.Underestimating resource requirements.
A major resource is cash funding, but other resources, such as industry contacts and access to marketing channels may be more important for certain products. Having too much cash, not managed wisely, can be just as devastating as too little cash. Don’t quit your day job until new revenue is flowing.

9.Not enough marketing.
Having a slick word-of-mouth marketing strategy isn’t enough to make your product and brand visible in the relentless onslaught of new media out there today. Even viral marketing costs real money and time. Without effective and innovative marketing across the range of media, you won’t have customers or a business.

10. Giving in too early.
The most common cause of startup failure is the entrepreneur just gets tired, gives up and shuts down the company. Despite setbacks, many successful entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Thomas Edison kept slugging away on their vision until they found success.

Top 10 Nigerian Farms And Their Owners

Top 10 Nigerian Farms And Their Owners

OLUSEGUN OBASANJO (OBASANJO FARM)
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is not only a retired army officer, former head of state and politician, he is also a successful farmer. He owns Ota Farm, which is also called Obasanjo Farms. The large farm was formally opened on October 8, 1979, a week after Obasanjo handed over power to a civilian administration on October 1, 1979. At inception, the farm took off as Temperance Enterprises Limited (Farming Venture). It later became Obasanjo Farms Nigeria Limited.

ABDULSALAMI ABUBABAKAR (MAIZUBE FARMS)
What makes General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) significant today in Nigeria and beyond is not just his successful military career or the fact that he willingly handed over power to a democratically elected government in 1999 to usher in the Fourth Republic. He has a stake in the Nigerian agricultural sector, being the owner of Maizube Farms Limited, which is helping to cater for the food needs of many Nigerians today.
Maizube Farms Limited is located at Km 26, Minna-Bida Road, Minna, Niger State, where General Abubakar is from. The 500-hectare multi product farm has both livestock and crop sections and today, it is proudly one of the stable sources of crop and animal products upon which Nigerians depend for food and other uses.

MURTALA NYAKO (SEBORE FARMS)
Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako (rtd), the executive governor of Adamawa State may be more popular from the political perspective to many, but he is one of the most successful Nigerian farmers today. Few know that he is the owner of Sebore Farms in Mayo-Belwa, Adamawa State.
Murtala Nyako was born at Mayo-Belwa, to Alhaji Hamman-Yero, a notable merchant and Hajiya Maryam Daso who was keen on Islamic studies and herbal medicine, on August 27, 1943.
Nyako was born a cattle owner, as his mother had been allocated some cows for her offspring before his birth. So he started what has snowballed into an integrated commercial farm today as a cattle farm. Even throughout his career, in the Navy and in politics, Nyako was never distracted from developing and expanding his coast in the agricultural sector, the result of which is his success story today.

USMAN DANTATA Jr. (ANADARIYA FARMS)
The young and enterprising Usman Dantata Jr., who is married to Rukaiya Indimi, daughter of multi-billionaire Borno businessman Mohammed Indimi, is the president/CEO of Anadariya Farms. The large poultry farm, which is located in Tiga, Bebeji local government area of Kano State, was started by the late business sage of Kano, Alhaji Usman Sanusi Dantata of the Dantata dynasty, in the 1960s. Anadariya Farms thrived well in poultry produce. For instance, it was noted for exporting poultry birds and eggs to Saudi Arabia twice a week using a Boeing 747 plane.
However, after decades of activity, the farm experienced some challenges and stopped operations until recently, when Dantata Jr. came on board and injected viability into the large farm. The CEO came with refined vigour, to ensure the farm maintains a successful track record.
He has a background in investment and banking and was a trader of various commodities in Europe before coming back to Nigeria. He also has a certificate in feed production and broiler management obtained in North Carolina.
Suffice it to say that he had equipped himself with the necessary training before stepping into the business.

SIR JOSEPH I.A ARUMEMI-IKHIDE (OJEMAI FARMS)
Another modern farm with high level of activity and making great impact within the nation’s agricultural space is Ojemai Farms Limited owned by Ojemai Holdings. The farm, which is located in Edo State and owned by Sir J.I.A. Arumemi-Ikhide, the chairman of Arik Air, was established in 1984 with interest tilting towards livestock production. It took off as a local producer of pork and turkey meat. However, as years past by and business expanded in the farm, there was the need for expansion of scope of operations.
This led to new interest in production of broiler, catfish, fish fingerling and other forms of animal produce. The farm has grown to become one of the biggest farms in Nigeria and one of the nation’s prides in the agricultural sector.

ARINZE ONEBUNNE (JOVANA FARMS)
Prince Arinze Onebunne is the successful managing consultant and CEO of Jovana Farms, located in Mushin, Lagos. The founder of Jovana Farms is also at the vanguard of modern fish and livestock farming in Nigeria, which is considered a fast growing and lucrative subsector of the nation’s economy today.
With his vast experience and engagement in training and mentoring prospective animal farmers, he earns millions of naira not only from sales of animal products, but also from consultancy charges. Onebunne also carries out feasibility research, site survey and farm construction projects, as part of his professional services.

DR OLATUNDE AGBATO (ANIMAL CARE SERVICES KONSULT)

ABDULLAHI ADAMU (NAGARI INTEGRATED DAIRY FARM)
Nagari Integrated Dairy is one of the farms currently being operated in the country on a commercial level. It is reputed to be one of the largest single integrated dairy farms in Africa. It covers 1,200 hectares of land and has 7,000 Holstein cattle. In view of the quality of the products it churns out, the claim that it is among the top suppliers of high quality farm and dairy products in Africa is justified.
Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State and now a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the man behind Nagari
Integrated Dairy Farm. Although his fame on the political scene has overshadowed his agricultural exploits,
Abdullahi can be described as an ccomplished farmer. The success story of Nagari Integrated Farm is the result of the enterprising nature of this farmer, lawyer, engineer, technocrat and consummate politician.
Over the years, Nagari Integrated Dairy has invested in research and development, and in state-of-the-art dairy farming technology. The company has developed its own proprietary dairy farming expertise and methodologies.
This has made it a benchmark for the efficient production of high quality dairy products.

ALHAJI WAHAB IYANDA FOLAWIYO (FOLAWIYO FARMS LIMITED)
Folawiyo Farms Limited, located on Yinka Folawiyo Avenue, Apapa, Lagos, was incorporated on October 4, 1985. Folawiyo’s journey to greatness began back in 1957 when he founded Yinka Folawiyo and Sons Limited, an import and export business empire that includes holdings in shipping, banking, construction, agriculture and energy. It is therefore not out of proportion to say Folawiyo’s business concerns traverse the entire length and breadth of the Nigerian economic terrain.

PETER ADENIYI (ANU-OLUWA FARMS)
Mr Peter Adeniyi, perhaps, did not understand fully the fortunes he was sowing to harvest when he founded Anu-Oluwa Farms in Ibadan, the ancient capital city of Oyo State. The farm, which has special interest in poultry and egg production for the Nigerian market, has become one of the largest farms in Nigeria.
The farm also sells livestock feeds and materials, table eggs, day-old chicks, point of lays, fish and fish fingerlings and livestock vaccines. Adeniyi is one of the most successful farmers in Nigeria.

Things You Don't Know About Sperms

Things You Don't Know About Sperms

1. Not all sperm are made equal: As much as a man would love to have millions of perfect little guys, the fact is that many of them are deformed. We're talking two heads, two tails, squiggly tails, heads that are too large or two small, etc.

 2. Sperm are hard workers: Well, not all of them. But of the ones that can swim straight enough to get to the egg, one lucky bugger (though sometimes more than one. Can you say multiples?) drills its way into the egg to begin fertilization.

3. There is a difference between "sperm" and "semen": Many people use both terms interchangeably, but they are not the same substance. Sperm cells are just one part of the semen. Seminal fluid also contains fructose and proteolytic, among other enzymes, to help the sperm on they way.

4. The odds are tough: In the average ejaculate, there 200 million sperm. That's some steep competition!

5. Sperm don’t have to be moving to fertilize an egg: That's both true and not true. For natural fertilization to occur, the sperm has to be able to swim and drill into the egg, but during In-Vitro fertilization, the sperm is injected directly into the egg, making motion on the sperm's part a nonissue.

6. They don't always know where they're going: Only about half of the sperm who are ejaculated make it to the egg. The rest doodle around in circles.

7. You need to keep your boys cool: For healthy sperm to exist in a man's body, the testicles need to be cooler than the body. On average, testicles are seven degrees cooler than the rest of the body. You don't want the testicles to be any closer to the warmth than necessary. That's why boxers are better than briefs when it comes to making babies!

8. The production process is different in men and women: Ladies are born with all the eggs they will ever have in their life. But men are constantly making new sperm. It takes about two months for a sperm cell to go from start to finish.

9. Diet plays a big role in the taste of semen: Gentlemen, if you are partial to oral sex, do both of you a favour by exercising regularly and maintaining a diet high in fruits and veggies. It benefits you in that you will have healthier sperm, and it benefits your partner in that your semen tastes better. A diet high in red meat, dairy, garlic and coffee will make the taste of your semen take a nosedive.

10. They come in both genders: Yes, there are male and female sperm. The males tend to be faster, but the females are stronger, so it's kind of a stalemate in the sperm gender war.

Predicted Features To Be On The Next Whatsapp Update

Predicted Features To Be On The Next Whatsapp Update

Few days ago, my WhatsApp failed to send nor receive messages. I could only come to a conclusion that Facebook had started their business. It’s obvious that there will be modifications or changes on our favourite instant messaging app, but we are not sure of what changes will be made. Before thinking of ditching or getting over excited for WhatsApp here are a few changes or predicted features that might be applied on WhatsApp.

Addition of some privacy features:
Of course we all know how Mack loves his privacy, I’m not too sure in what part of WhatsApp this feature is going to be in but I’m quite sure there will be some sort of privacy settings on the next update on WhatsApp

Integration of WhatsApp messages on facebook.com:
This is one feature I’m most certainly sure will happen, users will be able to go through their Facebook messages on WhatsApp and likewise. We also will be able to send messages to Facebook from WhatsApp.

Theme Colour:
The green theme colour and all then other minimalistic background designs on WhatsApp might all phase away. We all know Facebook loves the blue colour with a touch of miniature imagery. That will be applied on WhatsApp as they desire.

Ads supported, of course:
This I’m also very sure of, definitely WhatsApp will start displaying ads, after all that’s what the Facebook team does best.

Integration of WhatsApp user profile with both Facebook and Instagram:
WhatsApp has only been allowed to upload one profile picture at a time without saving it for later viewing, those of you using WhatsApp know what I mean. But with the integration of Instagram, photos of both you and friends can be viewed at anytime anywhere.

IM messaging with Instagram followers:
About a million people have already downloaded the app “insta-message” on the Playstore, but the truth we all know is that it doesn’t work. No developer has cone up with a solution to integrate Instagram with an IM. Now with the purchase of WhatsApp that will seem to come into reality.

Special WhatsApp package plans for small and large businesses.:
Just the way Facebook for business was launched, and how businesses choose to use Twitter as a good marketing platform, the same will be applied on WhatsApp, and this time around it might just be termed, WhatsApp for business smiley. No better name for it.

You Can Make Millions From Mushroom Cultivation

You Can Make Millions From Mushroom Cultivation

The greatest difficulty in feeding man is to supply a sufficient quantity of the body- building material i.e protein. The other three nutritional categories are: the source of energy food (carbohydrates and fats), accessory food factors (vitamins) and inorganic compounds which are indispensable to good health. Water is of course essential (Chang and Buswell, 2003). In addition to their good proteins, mushrooms are a relatively good source of the following individual nutrients: fat, phosphorus, iron and vitamins including thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, ergosterine and niacin. They are low in calories, carbohydrates and calcium.
In ancient Egypt, people consider mushroom as the plant of immortality, and the Pharaohs, respecting its delicious flavors, decreed that mushroom should not be touched by commoners.
Today, the science of mushroom has been fully developed for many species in the developed countries in Europe, North America and Asia. For example Agaricus bisporus, mostly produced in North America and European countries. Volvariella volvacea produced in china, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia. Oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, P. pulmonarius produced in Asia, Italy and Hungary. The Jew’s ear Auricularia auricula is produced in China for centuries. While these countries are now deriving a great economic benefits (in mushroom exports) and increased the dietary of their people, Nigeria is still behind in this regard. Only a few smart entrepreneurs are into the production of mushroom in Nigeria, however this is not enough to meet the high demands of the health oriented public. There is alot of demand for Mushrooms in Nigeria due to the continous increase in population.

BENFITS
(1) Mushrooms offer tremendous applications as they can be used as food and medicines besides their key ecological roles. They represent as one of the world’s greatest untapped resources of nutrition and palatable food of the future. Mushrooms have been found effective against HIV, cancer, cholesterol reduction, stress, insomnia, asthma, allergies and diabetes (Bobek and Galbavy, 1999)

(2) The demand for mushroom is higher than supply all over the world. (here lies a great opportunity for those that are smart).

(3) Mushrooms are very cheap to cultivate, they grow on waste substances such as, Sawdust, Wood shavings, Cotton waste, Rice bran, Wheat bran, Yam peels, Cassava peels and other agro-industrial wastes.

(4) Mushrooms are relatively fast growing organisms. Some tropical mushrooms can be harvested and consumed within 10 days after spawning.

(5) You do not need a land, a room is enough to start with.

(6) Thus the activity can generate new jobs, especially in tropical or less developed countries.

Mikel May Leave Chelsea This Summer

Mikel May Leave Chelsea This Summer

John Mikel Obi's days at Chelsea could be numbered as the club look set to offload the Nigeria international at the end of the season.

According to reports in England, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has informed Mikel he can leave the side for a small fee this summer.

The Premier League giants have already started looking for Mikel's replacement, with Olympique Marseille's Gianelli Imbula identified as a potential successor.

Mikel has become unsettled at Chelsea since the return of Mourinho to west London.

The midfielder, who was earlier linked with a move to Galatasary and AS Monaco, has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the January arrival of Nemanja Matic.

Nigeria Vs Mexico- Match Preview

Nigeria will face Mexico in a friendly in the United States on 5 March in their build-up to the Brazil World Cup.

Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Mexican National football team on the 5th of May.
The match will be held at the Georgia Dome Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
It will be the second time in 10 months that the sides have met in a friendly in the US - they played out a 2-2 draw in Houston on 31 May.
"This is the first big friendly for the Super Eagles on the road to Brazil," Nigeria Football Federation spokesman Ademola Olajire told BBC Sport".
With both countries preparing for the World Cup and playing in front of large Nigerian and Mexican crowd, it should spark a great atmosphere in Atlanta.
It's clear that if Nigeria is to prepare well for Brazil, they need to start playing against strong teams.
"The organisers have gone an extra mile to make this happen because both nations will be competing against teams with similar football culture in the summer, so this should help."
Nigeria face Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F at the 2014 World Cup, while Mexico play in group A against hosts and five-time winners Brazil, Croatia and Cameroon.
The reigning African champions have not won a match at the World Cup since beating Bulgaria in 1998 and they will hope to avoid falling at the first hurdle - a fate they suffered in both 2002 and 2010.
Despite losing both their opening group games in South Africa four years ago, the Super Eagles still had the chance to reach the last 16 by beating South Korea in their final game, but they were held to a 2-2 draw and finished bottom of the group.
Brazil 2014 will be Nigeria's fifth appearance at a World Cup finals.
Their best outings at the tournament were in 1994 and 1998 when they reached the knockout round of 16.
