Things You Don't Know About Sperms

Things You Don't Know About Sperms

1. Not all sperm are made equal: As much as a man would love to have millions of perfect little guys, the fact is that many of them are deformed. We're talking two heads, two tails, squiggly tails, heads that are too large or two small, etc.

 2. Sperm are hard workers: Well, not all of them. But of the ones that can swim straight enough to get to the egg, one lucky bugger (though sometimes more than one. Can you say multiples?) drills its way into the egg to begin fertilization.

3. There is a difference between "sperm" and "semen": Many people use both terms interchangeably, but they are not the same substance. Sperm cells are just one part of the semen. Seminal fluid also contains fructose and proteolytic, among other enzymes, to help the sperm on they way.

4. The odds are tough: In the average ejaculate, there 200 million sperm. That's some steep competition!

5. Sperm don’t have to be moving to fertilize an egg: That's both true and not true. For natural fertilization to occur, the sperm has to be able to swim and drill into the egg, but during In-Vitro fertilization, the sperm is injected directly into the egg, making motion on the sperm's part a nonissue.

6. They don't always know where they're going: Only about half of the sperm who are ejaculated make it to the egg. The rest doodle around in circles.

7. You need to keep your boys cool: For healthy sperm to exist in a man's body, the testicles need to be cooler than the body. On average, testicles are seven degrees cooler than the rest of the body. You don't want the testicles to be any closer to the warmth than necessary. That's why boxers are better than briefs when it comes to making babies!

8. The production process is different in men and women: Ladies are born with all the eggs they will ever have in their life. But men are constantly making new sperm. It takes about two months for a sperm cell to go from start to finish.

9. Diet plays a big role in the taste of semen: Gentlemen, if you are partial to oral sex, do both of you a favour by exercising regularly and maintaining a diet high in fruits and veggies. It benefits you in that you will have healthier sperm, and it benefits your partner in that your semen tastes better. A diet high in red meat, dairy, garlic and coffee will make the taste of your semen take a nosedive.

10. They come in both genders: Yes, there are male and female sperm. The males tend to be faster, but the females are stronger, so it's kind of a stalemate in the sperm gender war.

Predicted Features To Be On The Next Whatsapp Update

Predicted Features To Be On The Next Whatsapp Update

Few days ago, my WhatsApp failed to send nor receive messages. I could only come to a conclusion that Facebook had started their business. It’s obvious that there will be modifications or changes on our favourite instant messaging app, but we are not sure of what changes will be made. Before thinking of ditching or getting over excited for WhatsApp here are a few changes or predicted features that might be applied on WhatsApp.

Addition of some privacy features:
Of course we all know how Mack loves his privacy, I’m not too sure in what part of WhatsApp this feature is going to be in but I’m quite sure there will be some sort of privacy settings on the next update on WhatsApp

Integration of WhatsApp messages on facebook.com:
This is one feature I’m most certainly sure will happen, users will be able to go through their Facebook messages on WhatsApp and likewise. We also will be able to send messages to Facebook from WhatsApp.

Theme Colour:
The green theme colour and all then other minimalistic background designs on WhatsApp might all phase away. We all know Facebook loves the blue colour with a touch of miniature imagery. That will be applied on WhatsApp as they desire.

Ads supported, of course:
This I’m also very sure of, definitely WhatsApp will start displaying ads, after all that’s what the Facebook team does best.

Integration of WhatsApp user profile with both Facebook and Instagram:
WhatsApp has only been allowed to upload one profile picture at a time without saving it for later viewing, those of you using WhatsApp know what I mean. But with the integration of Instagram, photos of both you and friends can be viewed at anytime anywhere.

IM messaging with Instagram followers:
About a million people have already downloaded the app “insta-message” on the Playstore, but the truth we all know is that it doesn’t work. No developer has cone up with a solution to integrate Instagram with an IM. Now with the purchase of WhatsApp that will seem to come into reality.

Special WhatsApp package plans for small and large businesses.:
Just the way Facebook for business was launched, and how businesses choose to use Twitter as a good marketing platform, the same will be applied on WhatsApp, and this time around it might just be termed, WhatsApp for business smiley. No better name for it.

You Can Make Millions From Mushroom Cultivation

You Can Make Millions From Mushroom Cultivation

The greatest difficulty in feeding man is to supply a sufficient quantity of the body- building material i.e protein. The other three nutritional categories are: the source of energy food (carbohydrates and fats), accessory food factors (vitamins) and inorganic compounds which are indispensable to good health. Water is of course essential (Chang and Buswell, 2003). In addition to their good proteins, mushrooms are a relatively good source of the following individual nutrients: fat, phosphorus, iron and vitamins including thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, ergosterine and niacin. They are low in calories, carbohydrates and calcium.
In ancient Egypt, people consider mushroom as the plant of immortality, and the Pharaohs, respecting its delicious flavors, decreed that mushroom should not be touched by commoners.
Today, the science of mushroom has been fully developed for many species in the developed countries in Europe, North America and Asia. For example Agaricus bisporus, mostly produced in North America and European countries. Volvariella volvacea produced in china, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia. Oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, P. pulmonarius produced in Asia, Italy and Hungary. The Jew’s ear Auricularia auricula is produced in China for centuries. While these countries are now deriving a great economic benefits (in mushroom exports) and increased the dietary of their people, Nigeria is still behind in this regard. Only a few smart entrepreneurs are into the production of mushroom in Nigeria, however this is not enough to meet the high demands of the health oriented public. There is alot of demand for Mushrooms in Nigeria due to the continous increase in population.

BENFITS
(1) Mushrooms offer tremendous applications as they can be used as food and medicines besides their key ecological roles. They represent as one of the world’s greatest untapped resources of nutrition and palatable food of the future. Mushrooms have been found effective against HIV, cancer, cholesterol reduction, stress, insomnia, asthma, allergies and diabetes (Bobek and Galbavy, 1999)

(2) The demand for mushroom is higher than supply all over the world. (here lies a great opportunity for those that are smart).

(3) Mushrooms are very cheap to cultivate, they grow on waste substances such as, Sawdust, Wood shavings, Cotton waste, Rice bran, Wheat bran, Yam peels, Cassava peels and other agro-industrial wastes.

(4) Mushrooms are relatively fast growing organisms. Some tropical mushrooms can be harvested and consumed within 10 days after spawning.

(5) You do not need a land, a room is enough to start with.

(6) Thus the activity can generate new jobs, especially in tropical or less developed countries.

FG Moves To Resolve HND/Bsc Disparity

The Federal Government will soon resolve the age-long complaints of holders of Higher National Diploma, HND certificates over discriminations against them in favour of degree holders, in the areas of salary, promotion and other fringe benefits.

The Kwara State Head of Service, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed spoke on the isAsue at a news briefing in Ilorin, yesterday.

Mikel May Leave Chelsea This Summer

Mikel May Leave Chelsea This Summer

John Mikel Obi's days at Chelsea could be numbered as the club look set to offload the Nigeria international at the end of the season.

According to reports in England, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has informed Mikel he can leave the side for a small fee this summer.

The Premier League giants have already started looking for Mikel's replacement, with Olympique Marseille's Gianelli Imbula identified as a potential successor.

Mikel has become unsettled at Chelsea since the return of Mourinho to west London.

The midfielder, who was earlier linked with a move to Galatasary and AS Monaco, has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the January arrival of Nemanja Matic.

Nigeria Vs Mexico- Match Preview

Nigeria will face Mexico in a friendly in the United States on 5 March in their build-up to the Brazil World Cup.

Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Mexican National football team on the 5th of May.
The match will be held at the Georgia Dome Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
It will be the second time in 10 months that the sides have met in a friendly in the US - they played out a 2-2 draw in Houston on 31 May.
"This is the first big friendly for the Super Eagles on the road to Brazil," Nigeria Football Federation spokesman Ademola Olajire told BBC Sport".
With both countries preparing for the World Cup and playing in front of large Nigerian and Mexican crowd, it should spark a great atmosphere in Atlanta.
It's clear that if Nigeria is to prepare well for Brazil, they need to start playing against strong teams.
"The organisers have gone an extra mile to make this happen because both nations will be competing against teams with similar football culture in the summer, so this should help."
Nigeria face Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F at the 2014 World Cup, while Mexico play in group A against hosts and five-time winners Brazil, Croatia and Cameroon.
The reigning African champions have not won a match at the World Cup since beating Bulgaria in 1998 and they will hope to avoid falling at the first hurdle - a fate they suffered in both 2002 and 2010.
Despite losing both their opening group games in South Africa four years ago, the Super Eagles still had the chance to reach the last 16 by beating South Korea in their final game, but they were held to a 2-2 draw and finished bottom of the group.
Brazil 2014 will be Nigeria's fifth appearance at a World Cup finals.
Their best outings at the tournament were in 1994 and 1998 when they reached the knockout round of 16.

Check Out The Top 5 Most Livable Cities In Nija

Important criteria in this survey are safety/crime, international connectivity, environment and cleanliness, quality of buildings, transportation, ethnic and religious tolerance, access to nature, business conditions, business activity, urban planning and execution, general modernity, medical care, life style options, employment, and cost of living.

Lagos

As a winner it's a no-brainer for half of the people reading this, and a complete shock to the other half. This is because Lagos is the land of everything imaginable; the good the bad and the ugly colliding headfirst to create an explosive and energetic modern megacity! From our criteria, Lagos scored almost perfect marks in business conditions, business activity, general modernity, life style options, employment (second lowest in Nigeria), cost of living (compared to other west african capitals and in context to it's size and what it has to offer, Lagos is cheap!), ethnic religious tolerance, quality of buildings, transportation....you get the point by now. If you're looking for climb to the heights of the world, Lagos is the ultimate place to be. It is a true reflection of how great a united Nigeria can be and the collective fruit of our troubled and triumphant history together. Lagos is modern, it's fast, it's energetic, it's teaming with culture, and most importantly it offers something for everyone!

With all of these assets. Lagos score poorly on crime/safety, environment and cleanliness, transportation, access to nature and planning which are key areas the current government is striving to catch up on.

Enugu

Enugu comes in at a surpising number 2. Enugu's serene environment and ease of life have made the cities gradual climb to modernity one of Nigeria's best kept secrets. Least surprising is the general happiness and enjoyment of life that is emphasized in Enugu today. Enugu scored well on safety/crime, being recently rated the safest city in Nigeria, environment and cleanliness, ethnic and religious tolerance, access to nature, urban design, planning, medical care, lifestyle options, general modernity and cost of living. It has mediocre scores on international connectivity as it's international airport only has one somewhat limited carrier. Quality of buildings was ranked mediocre as well while employment, business activity and business condition fared poorly. Still with it's steady and restful pace, the coal city ranks as what is probably Nigeria's most well rounded city, in sharp distinction from our #1 city, Lagos, who's strength is found in it's stark contrasts

Calabar

An all-around exceptional place to live, Calabar, Nigeria's First capital remains first in many categories. Calabar's infamy as a city of life and culture make it a top contender in the federation for places one must be and see. Everything from the culture, the food, and environment cream home for nearly all who visit and from they're we're entranced by it's captivating allure. Calabar scored well on safety, environment and cleanliness, tolerance, exceptional access to nature, general modernity, medical care, life style options and cost of living. Though it has an international airport, most if not all flights are to Lagos and Abuja. The employment situation is on the better half as far as Nigerian state but there's a lot of room for improvement as it's just teetering at the cusp of the national average. Still with these set backs it's only the lack of business activity and an accommodating pace for business that holds Calabar back.

Abuja

Abuja coming in third is a shock to everyone; except it's residents. This fully modern capital city has been dubbed a palace for politicians as it aims to build a modern planned African city without the set backs that have plagued the others on the continent. Unfortunately, these 'set backs' include the poor and anything that may facilitate their stay. While Abuja offers an exceptional quality of life for it's residents, something as common as losing ones job can and will render you homeless or leave you packing your bags in this incredibly expensive elite city. Abuja scored well on safety/crime, international connectivity, environment and cleanliness, quality of buildings, transportation, general modernity, medical care. Unfortunately it lacked severally in the rest of our categories, and with recent boko haram tensions, seems a little too far north for comfort for some. The cost of living and elite nature of the city also make lifestyle options limited. As many business ventures typically taken on by the lower class are outlawed or restricted, one who doesn't fit the political, or multinational elite mold will not find Abuja a suitable home.

Port Harcourt

The oil city comes in strong at number four. Blessed with the gift of oil and a great population, Port Harcourt has always been a great contender in the Nigerian urban sphere. Hailed as the garden city, the PH of old left little to be desired and was the immigrant hub on Nigeria. Today oil politics and urban sprawl have reduced the city's stature, but Port still remains one of Nigeria's most modern, cosmopolitan and livable cities by a long shot. Port Harcourt scored well in safety, international connectivity with both an international airport and a port, transportation, business conditions, business activity, medical care, life style options, employment and cost of living. It was the effects of oil and sprawl that brought PH's weakness to the forefront. The cleanliness of the city leaves a lot to be desired and environmental degradation has made PH as well as the entire Niger Delta and international focal point of the destruction of mother earth. For a city of it's stature, PH also hosts moderately attractive at best and internationally sub-par buildings as most of the oil industry has relocated to Abuja and Lagos. PH is also home to historic ethnic flare ups between the ethnic groups natives to Rivers State as the city remains politically tense due to it's often conflicting diversity. Access to nature is not an option either as oil has destroyed the flowers in the garden city, though a certain greenness remains. Urban planning has also scored lowly because despite PH being a planned city, the plan has only resurfaced in importance in recent years. With these setbacks PH seems to be roaring back to life on the back of a successful resource control battle and new outlook for the city in it's drive to redeem its lost glory.

How To Search Like A Pro On Google

The internet is a vast sea of information, therefore to get the most out of Google search, you must instruct the search engine to bring exactly what you want. Since Google is the largest search engine in the world, i'll share with you some tricks on how to search like a pro on Google.

1. Use of Quotation Marks and Key Phrases
When looking for something on Google, envelope the key word with quotation marks to instruct the search engine to bring all about what you searching for. For example if you type in"Reebok", search engine would bring all about Reebok and nothing else.

2. Time Range Search

If you want to know about the NFL between 2011 to 2014 for example your search would look like this NFL 2011...2014. This would instruct the search engine to bring up all about the NFL between 2011 and 2014.

3. Document Type Search
If you are looking for a particular file type say a PDF file for example you can instruct Google to look for PDF files on Technology by typing in "Filetype: PDF Technology". For word file replace PDF with docx, for PowerPoint files put in ppt, for excel type in xls.

4. Inclusive Search
If you want search engine to bring up two terms in the search, like Apple and Mac for example, just type Apple OR Mac.

5. Searching for Word Definition
You don't need to type a word on Google and start looking for dictionary definition on dictionary sites. To get a definition on Google just type "define: word" and the definition would pop up on top page.

Tiwa Savage Arrested For Assaulting Police Officer

Mavin Records diva, Tiwa Savage, has been quizzed by the police for allegedly humiliating a policeman who apprehended her for violating some provisions of the Lagos state traffic laws.
Savage often referred to as Mavin First Lady, was said to have engaged a policeman who flagged her down for flouting traffic rules in front of Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island, on Saturday.
Savage who was recently signed a brand ambassador deal with Forte, allegedly came down from the vehicle she was riding in and confronted the policeman on duty who arrested her.
During the ensuing argument with the cop, Savage who was infuriated by the development was said to have angrily removed the cap of the policeman in a bid to get back at him.
The first African female PEPSI ambassador was reportedly whisked away to the Victoria Island Police Division, for daring to humiliate and assault the policeman.
When contacted, Group publicist for Mavin Records, Terfa Tilley-Gyado, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone.
He said the records label will be issuing a comprehensive statement stating the position of Tiwa Savage and the group on Monday.
“What would you like to know? We are planning to prepare an official statement; definitely not at this time. The press release will be out on Monday for your Tuesday production.
“I don’t think it will be prudent to use the story until you have the official statement. That is just my own opinion. I think you should wait until you get the official statement,” he said.
Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, could not be reached for comments. Her telephone rang out when contacted while a text message sent to her was not replied to as at press time
